Support Worker

At Kingdom Kare, our Care Workers play a vital role in supporting people to live safely, comfortably, and independently in their own homes. The role involves providing person-centred care that respects each individual’s dignity, choices, routines, and preferences.

We are looking for kind, reliable, and compassionate people who genuinely care about making a difference. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, a respectful approach, and a willingness to learn and work as part of a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

Person-Centred Care

Provide care and support in line with each person’s individual care plan. Support may include personal care, washing, dressing, continence care, mobility support, meal preparation, medication support, and daily living tasks.

Dignity, Choice & Independence

Promote dignity, privacy, independence, and choice at all times. Encourage individuals to do as much as they can for themselves while offering the right level of support when needed.

Communication & Relationships

Build positive, trusting relationships with the people we support, their families, and other professionals involved in their care. Communicate clearly and respectfully, reporting any concerns promptly.

Medication & Health Monitoring

Support with medication only where required and in line with training, competency, care plans, and Kingdom Kare policies. Report any changes in health, wellbeing, mood, mobility, skin condition, nutrition, or safety.

Safeguarding & Safety

Recognise and report safeguarding concerns, risks, accidents, incidents, or changes in need. Follow safe working practices, infection prevention procedures, moving and handling guidance, and health and safety policies.

Record Keeping

Complete clear, accurate, and timely care records after each visit. Ensure information is factual, respectful, and reflects the support provided and any concerns identified.

Team Working & Learning

Attend induction, training, supervision, spot checks, and competency assessments. Work as part of a supportive team that values honesty, learning, and continuous improvement.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for people who are:

  • Kind, patient, and respectful

  • Reliable and committed

  • Good communicators

  • Able to follow care plans and policies

  • Willing to learn and complete training

  • Able to work safely and professionally in people’s homes

  • Passionate about providing good-quality care

Previous care experience is helpful, but the right values and attitude are just as important.
